Week 1: Body Cleanse Juice

Spring is around the corner. To shade off the sleepy winter energy, we are starting a total workout for body, mind and spirit.

This new program is aimed at clearing the chakras, (the 7 major energy centres which absorb life force from the Universe and distribute it to the nervous system, endocrine glands and circulatory system).

As part of the cleansing program, I’ll post a new juice recipe each week for you to make at home each day.

Have fun, smile while you are doing this cleansing program and see yoga as a celebration of Joy and Happiness, feeling healthy and positive to what life has to offer.

Here we go with Week 1…


This drink will cleanse your liver, kidney and bowels and will help you reconnect in harmony with mother earth.

3 x carrots
1 x lemon
1 x beetroot
1 x cucumber
1 x red pepper
1 x stick of celery
1 x small bunch of fresh parsley
Add fresh root ginger to taste
Add garlic to taste

Peel the carrots, beetroot, lemon and cucumber. Remove the stalk and seeds from the red pepper. Add ginger and garlic. Put everything through a juicer.

Stir and enjoy with passion!
