Meditation stills the mind.

When your mind is still, the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) is able to restore the body and heal the battle scars of life – allowing ourselves space just to “be”, without expectation or effort.


What to Expect

This is a course designed to teach fundamental Meditation techniques over 6 x 60 minute sessions, allowing you time between each class to practice newly discovered techniques at home.

7 Sessions will be held at the studio every Wednesday evening for the duration of the term allowing you plenty of time to complete your 6 session course.

The course is an introduction to the world of meditation in a very clear and simple format with time for practice and to ask questions.

It requires some courage and discipline as with each session you will be trained to further focus your mind skillfully.

You are encouraged to use “downtime” to practice stillness on your own. The more we practice, the more proficient we become.

Chairs will be provided for those who require one.

    Having been told I had a brain aneurysm and waiting for the surgery I suffered badly from anxiety and needed medication to help me. The anxiety lessened after surgery but I still needed help. At 9.30 one Thursday morning after giving it a lot of thought I decided to find a yoga class which may help me. I had previously been to a yoga class many many years ago. I telephoned Yoga Keys and by 10.00 I was on my journey to recovery. The Yoga and meditation has made such a difference I love it and it has made me a new person. Thankyou Christiane and Yoga Keys.

    I completed the meditation course at Yoga Keys last week. Christiane was wonderful in the way she guided me through the various techniques. She allowed time each week to talk about my experience in practicing each one and already I have found that I am more focussed and calm as well as bringing more clarity into my daily life. I have also found that if I feel myself getting stressed, there are ways I can calm myself through use of breath.
    Previously I had little understanding of the benefits of meditation and already I can feel how much more peaceful I am.
    and finding that I am starting to approach difficult situations differently. I thoroughly recommend this course.

    The Meditation set a base point of calm and focus in my daily life. I look at the busyness in my life a bit differently now. It’s not so overwhelming, as the tools learned in meditation can ready you for anything at any time. So grateful.

The stretches, meditation and mindfulness are key elements that sustain me. Christiane is totally committed to her students’ progress and she is so positive and in tune with our needs.
